This is a little trivial in the grand scheme of things but I think I ended up with a deadbeat seller. I bought an OEM strut bar off a member here and paid for it on March 3rd after PM'ing back and forth with the seller for a couple of days.

A little over two weeks later (3/23 to be exact) I PM'd the guy and asked him where the item was and he gave me this "oh, I didn't notice you sent payment, I'll send it out today." It's not a large sum of money and I'm just using it for a garage project, so I was nice and told him no problem and confirmed my shipping address for him.

He was even nice enough to leave me a positive rating that day stating "Super fast payment! So fast I didnt even know he sent it! Trustworthy!! Thanks!". His feedback is positive so maybe this is just a fluke.

Here we are another two weeks later.. no item and his PM box is full. His location says East Coast so unless it's the east coast of Japan I don't see why it would take two weeks and even then I'd expect it any day. He hasn't posted here since 3/25.

I'm going to give him until the weekend to contact me and let me know where the shipment is or to refund my money. I hope the guy is alright, I just want this settled.

man.... I hope you get that all straightened out. People sicken me. If i were you i would start looking into doing somthing about this. This should have taken no more then two weeks to arrive. One week is still on the long side to receive an item. Good luck

well at least we know that someone knows where he lives...

 

so since you know where he live, maybe you can pay him a visit and see what's up if this doesn't work out. or atleast post his addy so we can say hello.

 

He has a decent i-trader rating.. I just don't know what happened with this one.

If it doesn't work out, if you want to pay shipping + like 10 bucks you can have my stock strut brace. I have a GT SPEC on the way so it's just sitting in the bottom of my closet taking up space. Hope it works out though.

Don't get me wrong- I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt and am pretty calm about it. It's only $37 so not a big deal. I just don't want anyone else getting ripped off and if he is a deadbeat, he doesn't deserve to keep my money.
