Default got the Z back from the hospital

Well it was a while ago, but my car was shot a few weeks back:
https://my350z.com/forum/2003-2009-nissan-350z/260603-my-car-got-shot-today.html

So last week i took the z to Ashburn Collision Center where they had the rear 1/4 panel baked, sanded, and repainted. Very nice people over there btw and i was really impressed with the job they did, my baby looks good as new.

my only question is how long should i wait to wash and wax the Z or should i even worry at all?

I don’t know. Ask the shop which did the work.

45-90 days. Depends on the paint/shop/work as davidv said. Best bet is to ask them, but if 45 days should be enough. I know I waited 90 days for my front bumper, just to be safe since I never asked the shop.

ok wow, i just got off the phone with the body shop and they said a light wash is fine but nothing extensive (buff/wax) for at least 34 weeks? i feel like an idiot asking this but does that sound right? i mean really thats more than half a year. my car isnt even a year old yet and ive waxed it about 8 or 9 times.

i dunno, but for any of you guys with body kits; how long did you wait to wax after you had your kit painted?

thanks for all the help guys

are u sure he didn't say 3-4 weeks?
34 weeks sounds rediculous, if i was really that long, wouldn't he just say 8-9 months

My shop said 3-months. Reason: some/most waxes have ingredients that prevent/inhibit the paint from curing.
