burning out safety
no no no, he is talking about everytime he trys to powerbrake it cuts the throttle. you take out the fuse for your anti skid there buddy. but you have to take it out. burn out, then put it back in to drive. did it once just to get some good picks and say ive done it, park your car at a slight angle, (without taking the fuze out) spin first gear, then after a few seconds shift to second, then after a few more shift to 3rd and you will get a loooong smokey burnout, but you do alot of wear to your car
Pull the brake fuse from the driver side fuse box. You can wire up a fused switch to that fuse slot if you will be using this often at the drag strip. It goes without saying of course, "not road legal" because this disables your VDC - ABS and brake light while the fuse is pulled.

If I remember correctly its a red 10amp mini-fuse behind the driver-side kick panel. The Z has a safety feature that kills the power if the brake light is on and the gas padal are being pushed simultaneously with the clutch out. It is the fuse for the brake light that enables this feature to work. Once again - it is illegal to do this on the road, it impairs the safety of the vehicle.

Just remember, a new set of stock tires is close to (over?) $200 a pop.
Trust me, you'll never win a burnout contest. There will be some guy there in an '81 Lincoln Towncar on 13's with tires that cost him $.49 cents apiece and he will burn them to the metal because he's going to drive home going 3 miles per hour in 3 wheel motion anyway. Haven't you ever seen lowrider magazine?

I've read countless times, even from pro drag racers that it's pointless to do a burnout if you're using street tires. If you're talking about just doing it for fun, then ok... go kill some tires.
