After a big Easter lunch I went for a drive around the Poconos when I got behind a beautiful new Vette.The driver pulled into the center turn lane and the passenger motioned me to pull alongside them.I initially thought they wanted to race(which I don't do)but they proceeded to bombard me with questions about the Z and how nice it looked.Then I got a thumbs up and the Vette roared away.I thought this was pretty decent of them.

 

My brother owns a Z06 and he really digs the new Z. Not everyone is a snob.

 

My parents own a C5...even though my SS perf isn't here yet (any day they keep saying), they had the opportunity to check out a couple at a dealer in FLA...they both loved it. I think the're more excited about it than I am!

 

my dad is the same way, he is very happy for me, and likes my car, even let me use his car for photo shoots

 

Thats cool......there is an older guy that lives up the street from me, he has a newer Maroon conv. C5, White conv. mid 90's and a Red Hard top mid 90's corvette. His wife came out and was asking all these questions about the Z. So now they are in the process of selling one of the vettes bacause the wife wants a Z now....

 

I am the local vette autocrossers protege, they loved me in my Camaro and kept trying to get me to buy a vette. They weren't too happy that I was buying a "japanese" car, but I am sure this Sunday that once they get to see it they will be impressed. I schooled them with my camaro, can't wait to do it with a japanese car when I get some tires

By the looks of it, it's an SL55. How fat would you say a 5.5L V-8 pushing 493hp is?

For some reason no matter what the model is, i just can't think of a mercedes as a pure sports car. Still a great car though.

just goes to prove that all the pics in the Details section are MEANINGLESS to me, the pic in my sig and moniker are washed and driven 2 weeks..LOL, ....the pic with the other car is Clay Bar, 1 coat of Autoglym Super resin polish, and one coat of Autoglym sealer. Notice they both look pretty good.

 

Yeah, I got stopped by a guy in a Porsche 911 Carrera. He said he loved the 350 for the price that it was at. Totally cool guy, wanted to trade cars for a few minutes or so.
