Don't worry about it. I would ask for race course training for a b-day present or something, though. You should learn what it's like to lose control, and be able to control it. You need to learn the limits, where it's safe, then pull back from there.

You should also learn to drive smoothly. Many people wreck their cars because they don't drive in a smooth and controlled manner.

I disagree with what was said earlier about teens having 350Z'S. That is just some kids are not smart when driving with others in the car and it is what we call peer pressure. I got one when I was 16 but I purchased it myself and now I am 19. It is a great car that you always have to treat with respect when on a road. Just it's not nice to haer about kids wrecking these beautiful Z cars.

Most teenagers do not have a lot of experience on the road...end of story.

I saw 10 pages, and a title about wrecked Z, and knew the OP was 16 before opening the thread. Premonition?

I guess I'm obligated to say that I'm glad you didn't kill yourself or friend. On the other hand, I thank you for raising the future collectable value of my Z.

Oh, and I think your parents want you dead, sleep with one eye open.

Seriously, even at 19 you don't have enough life experiences to know if what you considered is good driving behavior really IS good driving behavior.

The original poster is either a troll or really needs to go back to elementary school. How the hell did he pass a driver's exam? Someone please tell me what an insurance "reductable" is. I think he's been hit by too many hockey pucks.

Okay guys. Enough is enough. A lot of you have shown your age real well in this thread and need to stop. You are all acting like children in Middle School.

Leave the guy alone and end this thread NOW. He learned his lesson. We have all done something stupid when we were kids even some adults have. After 10 pages I think he got the idea.

Can anyone tell me how it works if the car is totalled?? what does the insurance do buy you a new car?? Money?? If it isnt totalled do the insurance pay for the repair?? I know my reductable is 1000 I just made a claim but can anyone help?? If you can send a PM with everything that would be nice or just post it whatever you perfer thank you.
As far as your insurance goes this is how it should work. I am making some assumptions on coverage you may or may not have. Please take what I am saying with a grain of salt.

I am assuming that the car was fully paid for.

If they total the car then they will write you a check for what they think the car was worth at the time you wrecked it. Basically you can count on the same amount you would get if you traded it in on a new car. They will then subtract from that your deductible of 1000 bucks.

So to get back into another new car will cost you some money. Possibly several thousand dollars.

If you owned money on it then its a bit more complicated since you might owe more on it than its worth.

And when I say you in this post I mean your parents.

I dont understand why the teenagers feel like they have to tell us how old they are. "Hey, I wrecked a 30K car, oh and by the way, I'm 16". How can you expect any other reaction than being flamed as an inexperienced driver with bad parents? The people who get sympathy are the ones who say things like "My Z got totalled by some idiot 16 year old in his dads audi"
