Call From My Dealer Yesterday.......
He informed me that he received word from Nissan that my car was off the assembly line and being prepped for shipping! He said he should have an exact delivery date for me in the next week or 2! 
Anyone else receive similar calls?

When I called NNA Regional in Chicago, they told me that my car, according to his computer screen, was scheduled to leave the plant on 7/11/02. We'll see what happens after 8/1/02 when I attempt to get my VIN #. I'm scheduled (yeah sure) for Aug delivery. I'm certainly not holding my breathe, but I am crossing my toes.

Called the GM at my dealership this morning. No news on my car
He did say the interest in the Z has grown exponentially in the last few weeks. He is anxious for some news from Nissan on his allotment of non-preorder Z's. He expects to get the news in August.

VIN #
If anyone has been told that their z has been made or is being built, they should be able to obtain the vin #. I work at the Smyrna Nissan plant and all the vehicles are assigned a vin # before being produced. Where I work all of the vin#'s are already on the car. So maybe if you bother your dealer or someone enough you can obtain that info.

I was wondering do you know of any info about the '04 Maxima?
RWD?? V8?? Delivery date?
I have an '02 Altima, and I LOVE it, but I was just curious about the 04 Maxima, since I might be trading it in.
By the way, I'll bet Nissan is a VERY FUN place to work, huh? Espeically with all the new goodies coming out now!

First of all I am not the lucky one who gets a call from dealer!!
I called my dealer today (S.E Ohio), they have told me that scheduled arrival is end of August (last time they told me end of September). They will not know the VIN or exact delivery date till 14 days in advance.
Does is sound reliable to you guys??

Out of the blue....my dealer e-mailed me. (I didn't contact him...he contacted me.) Said that my car would be delivered sometime in Sept. He said he'd let me know later when he receives more info.

I got the same call today from my dealer while at work. I thought I was going to fall out of my chair when I realized who it was!
He said pretty much the same thing that TXSTYLE's dealer said. He said that he should have a tracking for me in a week or two. He mentioned that Nissan sent a very breif fax to the dealership with not much more info than what he gave me. He did promise to keep me informed though. We will see. For now however, this is music to my ears!
