Totally agree, pontiac screwed up big time. They should have gone for the retro look like the mustang and new camaro instead of taking some old ugly design from an australian car

I would suggest thinking about it a bit more before making your decision.

No matter the differences in speed and handling, driving the Z will be a completely different experience to a V8 car. If this is what you like about driving, you're not going to find it in a Z.

this has been a back and forth battle since october...first it was an 03 cobra until i got the insurance quote, then it was a silverado ss, trailblazer ss, charger r/t, and mustang gt but the 350z was always in there everything came back to it plus i've wanted one since i first saw it on Grand Turismo 3 as the Z concept

I love my new Z...I can tell you that I have pulled on new Mustangs (2 tested me) and I took both in a straight line...They do have the power down low, but as someone has already posted, they fall flat pretty quick...If you want a "all around" fun car to drive, the Z is the best choice...The 07 has decent torque down low and pulls all the way to 6-6.5 RPM before it starts to drop off...Once more performance mods come out and tuning, the 07 HR will be an awesome car to mod...That's my .02 cents!

Trust me, you won't be dissapointed with the Z. You'll appreciate not only the decent power it puts out, but also the powerband in general, the smoothness and the handling (the last two it has over anything else you looked at). It's much more worth it to get a car with more than just one plus for it.

You could make even a 4000lbs slab of concrete go fast 0-60mph. A good car is so much more than just straight-line speed, or how big its engine is.

ive taken plent of gts mustangs with my stock 2003 if you get a 2007 z you will almost always pull on any stock mustang. My freinds 04gt he has exhaust, headers, intake and subframe connectors. And from a roll i pull 1 and a half cars on him everytime and the faster we go the more i gain. I raced a stock 2006 mustang gt and beat it by a half a car. But the 07z will pull 1 - 2 cars on a 06 or 07 mustang gt. Z is a far far better car then a mustang i come from a camaro also and there no contest. Z is great all around
