Default Warranty or not?

I just traded my 04 Lexus IS300 for my first 350z two weeks ago from the local dealership here in TN and i love it. Its an 2005 6sp/MT Enthusiast with 5000 miles on it for 23,300. They offered me a 100,000 mile warranty for and extra one time fee of $900.00 should i do this or not i still have a year left on the factory warranty.

1) The (free) factory warranty is 3 yrs/36K bumper to bumper, and 5 years/60K on the power train. So your not buying a "100K warranty". You're buying an additional 64K bumper to bumper, and an additionl 40K on the power train.

2) I always own at least 3 cars (including a sport/performance car, and a work truck) and drive about 50K a year combined. I haven't spent a total of $900 in repairs in the last 15 years!

i would get it. I upgraded mine to 60,000 bumper to bumper for around that price. Ive taken the dealership for atleast $1500 in cosmetic parts and recall items.

'03 Base 48k miles

Leather Wrapped Stearing Wheel
New Shift ****
Window Motor & Handler
Weather Stripping Hatch Repair
Grease Streak repair:
Clutch Squeak Bandaid
New Altenator & Testing

Recalls

Front Tires
Refueler Hose
Free balance

It racks up, so dont cut yourself short. Some swear they are useless, which most of the contract is, but the little thigns that bother you everyday is what counts sometimes.
