Brickyard....From one rodent to another, thanks for the welcome.

Been called Rat since high school back in the seventies, some of my oldest friends don't even know my real name.

Would be delighted to take pictures of the wife with top down, getting her to pose presents the problem.

Here's to hot wives & hot Z's both in clear bra's.

Hi (who's your) daddy,

My Rat nickname was hung on me by a friend on a sports collectible site several years back. Others picked it up. I did not particularly like it but decided to go with the flow. It has become my net persona.

I was just having fun with you on the pix of wife thing. I do have a couple of my girl that are not all that revealing and with a definate "wow" factor.
But if she ever even thought I posted them somewhere, it would not be long until someone on here was posting a link to a local newspaper article titled:

" Sliced & diced (we think) man in 350Z at bottom of Sacramento River"

I'll drink to the hot wive's in clear bras!!

Go here https://my350z.com/forum/350z-roadster-124/ and ask the members, if they had any top issues and ask them about any kind of special top maintenance.

If you're normal and mature, the stock brakes are fine.

You'll really enjoy zipping around in the ZR, after you've been driving a truck for a while.

Good Luck!

I'll give a second to those that mentioned reading the manual thoroughly, telling the dealer(before the car arrives) not to drill holes, getting a front license bracket that attaches to the tow hook receptacle, and putting a good protective coat on the car right away.

I'll add to read the sticky FAQs of this site and I wished someone had pointed out to me how easy it is to bust or scrape the front bumper when pulling in and how easy it is to rash your wheels on curbs. I wasn't used to low cars and low profile tires.

I recommend not modding until you drive for a while to see which things if any need to be changed for your taste. With my '06, I haven't experienced the problems with brakes that some have had. The wait will be worthwhile.

IIRC, $2000 or so. If its a new car, I'd use that $2000 on a drop instead of already upgrading breaks. I don't see a reason to switch breaks if your current breaks are brand new.

3M pay for the best, mine cost $400.00 covers the front fascia, top of the hood approx 10 in the center and the backs of both mirrors. 3M has a 5 year guarantee against fading, or yellowing and your installer should cover the rest of the warranty..

drive from the dealer directly to the 3M shop to get the clear bra before you regret it

That's about what I paid, best decision I ever made for my ZR. Sooner you get it done the better.

Also, offer to kick them in the nuts if they even think about drilling holes in your front bumper.

Grats and enjoy!
