APS makes a great system for the Z. If I wasn't so confident in the quality of Lingenfelter's work, I would probably add the APS C6 TT system instead. Since my car has the 6sp auto, this is the package they will be doing for me, including the trannie upgrade:

I suppose further justification would include the fact that you have a warranty from them... considering your actual warranty will be voided, doing engine modification work by yourself would leave you with no help in the financial department if something goes wrong.

Wow that thing's going to be a monster. That is one hefty pricetag though, but those numbers are insane. And you'd still end up spending far less than the price of a Z06 (considering the insane dealer markup on those).

I should have at least 120 HP more than a Z06 (at the wheels), plus I can still have the removable top, my own tuned suspension, and the 6sp auto trannie (a must because I love my wife more than my car...she can't drive a stick for $hit).
If I don't have to put wider rubber on the rear to get traction, then I won't have to go with the widebody pieces and it will still be a 10K cheaper than a new Z06.....and what a sleeper it will be.

GM vehicles registered in the U.S.A. are covered for 3 years/36,000 miles (whichever comes first). The complete vehicle is covered, including tires, towing to your nearest Chevrolet dealership and cosmetic corrosion resulting from defects. Repairs will be made to correct any vehicle defect, and most warranty repairs will be made at no charge. In addition, rust-through corrosion will be covered for 6 years/100,000 miles (whichever comes first) and powertrain will be covered for 5 years/100,000 miles (whichever comes first). Absolutely......I've spent hours on the phone questioning these guys, and they are a class act for sure.....taking the time to explain everything to the last detail. They have my total confidence.

When you consider the cost of cars with comparable performance (911 turbo, Ferrari F430) to my car once the work has been done, then yes, it's a good deal, relatively speaking.
I have a feeling that if everything turns out well, this is one car I will keep for a while!
