Default How can I

Know what type of Z I have? The car is a 2005, Silver, Brembo brakes, 6 spoke rims, manual, 6 airbags, orange seats, Bose system...

And what are the most bang per buck light mods one can do on my engine? (for example phenolic spacers, etc...)

Thanks guys in advance...

If it has all that and heated seats, grand touring. As for the second part of your question, don't be lazy, and use the search function. That question has
been asked no less the 2000 times!! You should find your answer in less time then it took to read this!

There was a Grand Touring in 2005? Really? I don't remember one.

There was an anniversary edition that came with leather and brembos, but that came with the 5 spoke anniversary (now standard) wheels. Wheels don't mean much though, people move them around all the time.

In 2005 there were 2 types of six spoke wheels. One was the performance/touring wheel, something like 26 lbs and they look heavy. The other was the Rays forged wheel and I believe the lip says FORGED on it and around 18lbs and have three dots on the spokes.

The grand touring was offered starting in the 2006 model year. The 35th aniversary would fit the bill but he said it was silver, and the 35th only came in black and yellow. Also, he said it had six spoke wheels. Both the grand touring and 35th aniversary edition have 5 spoke wheels. (assuming that they have not been changed.)

Wait, I just realized he is from Qatar, so then US models designations go out the window (forgot to think outside the US, shame on me).

There may have been a Grand Touring there at that time. I don't know the names but I think there were only two models to choose from in that market and it is possible they all had brembos.

On a side note, I think this goes to show the shift in car markets. It used to be that foreign car makers would only send the higher end models here and sell base models at home. Now they send base models here and send only high end models to Europe and other parts of the world.

Your right, there are only two models.. touring and track.. the only way to get the brembos is on the track..

My car has heated seats (weird since I am in Qatar now, heated seats are ridiculously useless) and my rims say FORGED also and have the dots...

I have seen also here Z's without the Bremboz and from the inside they had black leather instead of the orange.

I also own a Subaru SVX, upon a discussion with a Subaru master tech from NZ, he told me that it was the fastest model SVX in the world since it runs on an open loop without O2 sensors... I think Gulfian cars have special options different than the US and European models... I wonder what's the category of the car I am driving..
