Default Love this FN Car!

Just as the title says, who loves there Z, I know I do.

I just got back from a nice drive for lunch. Took it to what I call a 4 Leaf Clover on the parkway and just tore it up. Cant tell you how much I love that low end torque. Eating the turns with my Eibachs and yes I have 20's believe it or not it drives so so good. The car just loves those turns.

Everyone hates Z's here. It's why most of us bought them.

If it's optional, I'd assume that you have either the 2.0 or the 1.8?

What did you expect from starting a thread that is obvious to many owners. Its cool you love your car but do you really think that this feeling you have really deserves its own thread. The most i could post in reply is "me too..." It seems like you were just bored so you clicked the new topic button and gave us something we already know.

Me TOO!!! I take my Z for a walk everyday at lunch. It's all I can do to sit at my desk for the four hours before I can drive it again. The feeling I get when I'm behind the wheel is unparalleled.

Yesterday I was outside washing my Z when my neighbor drove up in his Acura NSX. He started going on and on about how much faster my car was than his and then told me I could take his car for a spin. I was amazed at how sluggish his car was when you touched the accelerator compared to mine. I love the Z because it is so responsive with just the slightest touch of the gas pedal.

yeah seriously i love the Z. I wash it 3x a week, park it away from other cars when I can, and generally baby it to death. Ill probably end up buying a ZR next year.

I had a 03 touring and when i was getting ready to trade it in
i had a chance a of getting a Z06 beautiful maroon red color.
With only 14,000 miles on it but i felt out of place in it
yea alot of people might say hey your nuts you should of went for it.
But let me tell you once you drive a Z you feel connected with it its strange.
I felt out of place in the Z06 im 23 i have a good job i work hard but i went
right back to the Z and dont regret it at all theres too much history behind it
plus the wierd thing is it gets more looks than a vette. Just my 2 cents im sure alot of you guys got that same feeling about your Z its just a all around perfect car.

Do you guys really feel the Z has a lot of low-end torque?

My '06 doesn't really start to take off until 2700rpm or so. Then again my banger car is a TDI diesel which makes much more down low, so my opinion could be skewed.

I understand that the 07 makes more torque down low... I'd like to test drive it to find out for myself.

The Z (all models from 2003 on up) has a great amount of torque. You can see this when missing a shift (i.e., you want to go to 2nd gear, but mess-up and get into 4th gear), and you can get away with it by simply mashing the accelerator pedal and letting the Z muscle through your error.

Of course if your experience is driving/comparing to a diesel engine, the diesel wins the torque category.
