Mine does this also, it will be off then go to full blast? Hmmmm, i just thought something was going bad? I just hate taking it to the stealership, though.

I just like the breeze in my face and the sounds of the car

we dont get the heat quite as bad in PA as some others, but it does get quite hot/humid in the summer.
Same here, I enjoy just listening to the engine. I'm pretty sure others have done this before, maybe the first day they got their Z's . I might be wrong...oh well.

Same here... If it gets too hot I'll turn the AC on keeping the windows down of course! The only time I put the windows up is when it's too cold or raining.

True, but your gas mileage is a good measure of how much power you are using to move the car, or conversly, how much you're wasting. A car with huge wheels, wide tires, extra weight will get worse mileage than a light car with skinny tires on small diam. wheels. Which one will go faster and accel quicker? If you're not wasting power to overcome drag (by having the windows down) your using to push the car faster - meaning better performance.

One of the things I hate about track days is the requirement that you keep the windows down. Once you get past about 60mph, you literally get beat to death by the air pressure from the open windows. And that with a helmet on too.

Your right, but most times I drive with the windows down and music up.

No, come down to Louisiana for the real test. About two weeks ago I had to start using the A/C as the temp got up into the 90's with 75% humidity. You can't drive fast enough to keep cool in those conditions.

I would say on the street windows down a/c off (no drag)

on the freeway windows up a/c on

It seems when i am driving around town it is WAY more responsive from a stop with the a/c off but at higher speeds it is the opposite.

Though I live in San Diego where it's not too extremely hot, I go windows down on the street and windows up on the freeway and MAYBE turn the fan on low. I have a drivers tan (left forearm) also. The only time I turn the AC on is when I'm with my gf, I'd like her to have a comfortable ride. Other than that, vroom vroom windows down baby.
