I was checking around and found that Allstate (allstate.com) and State Farm (statefarm.com) both have the 350Z listed in their online quote section. State Farm even has it broken down by model (track, touring, etc). You can do a quick quote without entering your name or anything. I was happy to find out that adding the Z only adds $300/6 months for a total of $750/6 months for both of my cars. I am 33, single, no tickets (that they know about ) and no accidents, with Allstate now. My other car is a 2001 Subaru Outback Limited.

Other companies may have the same thing, but I only checked these two.

 

Checked w/my State Farm agent and she qouted around $725 every six months, thats 0 comp 250 collision. I'm 35 with clean record. She also had all models listed.

 

You lucky bastards. I haven't gotten any final quotes, but over here in New Jersey, the insurance companies love to screw us. I'm going to be using one of the cheapest in the state (NJ Manufacturer's), and it will still probably be $2500 /year at the lowest. The estimates I had gotten a few months ago from Allstate, and a couple others were for $3000-$3500 / year. When it comes to car insurance, be happy you're not in Jersey.

 

How do you use the site (perfectly frank) without putting in your name, address, etc?

I've tried statefarm and they require a name and address.

By the way, Geico will usually have a lower rate if you have a clean record. The 350Z is not listed yet, but I'm sure it will be any day.

 

You can call Geico and they can easily look it up, it just may not be on their website yet. I used to work there - definitely the best insurance company out there when it comes to service and satisfaction. They honestly are out to help their customers and not to screw them, and their counselors are *heavily* supervised.

Hmm. I'm in NJ, and quite happy. NJM quoted me $1000 a year for kick-*** full coverage with $500 deductibles across the board. It pays to have a good insurance company...

 

Geico is definitely top notch! And they also have the lowest policy for me here in CT. Their customer service is outstanding. Someone crashed into my fiance and Geico took care of everything no questions asked. I had a $4,000 check in 4 days!!! Had the free rental car the next day. I would recommend Geico to anybody!

 

State Farm does not give instant quotes. Only Allstate.

 

The Allstate site doesn't require an address. You can make up an address on the State Farm site, just you use your correct zip code. It only requires that you put in a first name.

 

I haven't gotten my quote back from them yet, but that sounds encouraging. I forget the term, but I opted to be able to sue if I want to. I think that bumps it up by close to $1000. I'm also 23 year old single male, so that doesn't help. I guess I'll just have to wait and see when it comes back.

 

Man, I grew up in NJ and I forgot how bad the insurance there is! I guess the Allstate site isn't any good to you since I remember them pulling out of the state a while back.

 

Oh and another note, please do not purchase Progressive coverage. They have a HORRIBLE rep within the insurance "community". Even if they come out to be a little cheaper at times, I would never recommend them.
