Default 350z, made in U.S or Japan ?

are those 350z you got in U.S manufactured in U.S itself or from Japan?

cuz my car is being shipped, and i've just asked the custom dept. in my country, they told me if it was manufactured in U.S, then there won't be any customs or taxes, but if it was manufactured from some other country, then i have to pay 30% of its price!!!

that's the VIN: JN1AZ34D86M330241

The 350z was designed in california.Don't believe me watch top gear a UK show (that is bias against anything that is priced under 55000 pounds or from the US besides, the GT40) but all the same a good show.

I'm pretty sure it's built in Japan. Also, when I was buying the Z at the dealership I was going around looking at different stickers on different cars. The Z had 100% Japanese parts, whereas most other cars had at least 20% American parts. This may not prove that the Z was assembled in Japan though.

The design was in California by Ajay Panchel, but the mass manufacturing of each 350Z car is from Japan and then shipped out from the Japan manufacturing plant as a complete car out to international markets. All Z33's are made in the same single factory in Japan. There is no other location that 350Zs are made in the world other than the one factory in Japan.

I think I set that pretty clear where the car is made--where ALL 350Z's are made.

The J at the very beginning of your VIN means Japan. If it were made in USA it would be a "1" Every character in the VIN stands for something.

Or 5N1. 1N and 5N1 are for "Nissan - USA" produced cars.

No they aren't. The 350Z and all Infinitis, excluding the QX56, are built in Japan. The 350Z is the last remaining Nissan not built in the US.
