Default Hello from half way across the World

Hello guys.

Just got a 350Z/Fairlady Z and working on it here in Macau, a city right next to Hong Kong.

Just want to say hi to all the fellow 350Z owners out there. If you are from around my area, do give me a shout.

Stay Safe all!

Thank you all for the warm welcome,

Yes, it will be plenty of fun, especially when technically there isn't something call speed limit in Macau. Well, there is, but no one really enforce it unless the "head" of the department set up radar guns site and road block and then you get caught.

I once blow by a police car doing 130km in a 80km zone taking all 3 lane out of an corner into a straight (and that was in a 1.3 litre 1993 toyota starlet with wooping 13" rims.) and they just kept going like they didn't see anything.

Project 350z is getting near the end...(yea, right, thats what we all say), I will post pic as soon as it is ready for the world to see.

As for other pics, if luck holds out (ie. no rain, and no cops), I will bring back some pics of illegal street racing in Macau this weekend. There is a gathering of at least 150+ car every friday night just to watch some car running around the street.

Anyone got a good host you know to share pics?

I always love it when people show up from other parts of the world.

The world wide communication stuff is the nets best feature.

I belived the dealers in Macau and HK only have imported the AT version. There are no manual Z there.

Actually, the Nissan dealer in Macau don't have any Z, period. The good thing about macau is you can basically get any car you want in Japan, send it over by ship, and you will be okay. And alot of time it end up being cheaper then buying the same car at the dealer. You can buy an (DC5) RSX (AT only) at the dealer, or at the same price buy an Integra Type R and imported from Japan, pretty much same price.

But since not alot of people buy sport cars, the Z is out of the question for the dealer to put in the show room. So most of the people who want the Z go to someone who do import, much like the skyline is in the state.

And yes, I am watching this SARS, pretty much I don't go out to crowded places in a room, it suck over here right now. Hope this freak virus end soon.

Well, tonight is friday night. If we are lucky and cops don't bust the party, and the sky don't rain, then I will come back with some street racing photo.

Mostly Integra and couple other cheap junk, but fun to watch. We HAD an Evolution 7 last week, but then the idiot over speeded in a corner and ran up a curve, then need to be tow home. Thats why there might be cops tonight.

Congrats. You must be the only Z owner in Macau. But are there any roads there where you can really let her fly? I was in Macau and HK a couple of years ago and all I remember were congested streets. You probably don't get many chances to get her above 3rd gear . At least in HK, there were the freeways going to the new territories.

I heard that a couple of the big Vegas casino developers are building resorts in Macau. Do you know when they'll open?

Sorry guys, big cop bust tonight after a silva ran into a mini van, so no pics. Plus after some serious thinking, I might get my butt kick if I take pics, wouldn't I?

There are some road here where you can open up, especially on the way to the island on the outskirt of macau, pretty long straight bridge with 2 round about. But the Z is mainly going to be a nice fun drive, nice looking, nice sounding weekend cruiser. I don't think it is sensiable to use the Z daily as the chance of getting key, scrach, or run into is pretty high.

Fun fact of the day was when a toyota starlet (1.3litre, 86hp or so) decide to over take me while I was cruising slowly with my friends, slow down, and turn on his hazard infront of me, and he have a girl with him too...a challenge I see.

I was driving an automatic station wagon though. It was a Toyota Mark II Bliz (1JZ-GTE twin turbo 280hp), so I decide to go second gear on him when the long straight come up...you should of saw the look of his face But I really didn't, he was too far behind after about 3 second.

Yea, we got a couple casino comming up, should be here around 2006 I think. The government just wanted money, so they decided to allow more gambling licence to be issue.

We got several Z in macau already. Have to say it is very reasonable priced as it rank as one of the top model sport car. However, for the same price there are always Lancer EVO VIII, Subaru WRX Sti, and S15 Silvia Spec R if you are looking for sports car.

We also got a Z with alot of stickers, and a nismo kit with factory 17" rims. Nismo kit is replica of couse since the bumper and the lower front lip seems to be 1 piece and made of fiberglass. But still pretty nice looking none the less.

I really miss the days of car show in the state. It is always so fun to get together at the weekend with a bunch of the same cars and go on a cruise.
