yeah but the thing is, im still getting 4 MPG less than you. 16 MPG in the city is one thing, 11.8 is another. I wish i had 16 MPG in the city lol

Well, the dealer was so very helpful as always...added some fuel additive and told me to replace the air filter. On the bright side, I have improved from ~13mpg to ~15 mpg! lol but I still can't wait to get in and drive.

Driving from VA to NY tonight I got 520 DTE! Never saw this before, I was truly amazed, as was my father who was also in the car. Only 20 mpg.

Edit: About 80mph average.

On a spirited drive with half freeway and half city I got 25.8 mpg over 30 miles.

I find that EXTREMELY unlikely even w/a manual esp. at 75 mph. 27 is believable. What does your trip computer read after consuming at least 12 gallons?

With my 04 5AT (yeah, driveline losses are higher on an auto), ~20 mins of my 28-32 min commute is on the highway in the high 60s to mid 70s most of the time. For a tank, I typically get 21-23 mpg both per the trip computer and my manual calculations.

I'm getting 21-22 mpg. 1/2 highway and 1/2 very spirited backroad driving.

Just got 360 to my tank and it feels great. At 300 miles the car still had 3-4 gallons. With my Maxima, at 220 miles my light came on and the tank had about 4 gallons left, and if I drove another 30 miles, I'd notice during my fillup I only had 2 gallons left - so my car could never break 300 miles.

And the Maxima also has an 18.5 gallon tank. Feels so great to have kick *** gas mileage and fantastic power.

My former 02 Nissan Maxima 4AT (also had the 3.5L VQ V6) would get ~24-25 mpg (per manual calculations, not its 2-4 mpg too high trip computer) on the same commute that I mentioned . Unlike my Z, I had taken it on long trips and the best I've ever achieved was 28-29 mpg on that.

I feel the gas mileage of both are acceptable (the Max being more than acceptable) but definitely not kick ***. FWIW, on priuschat.com, you get people whining and asking what's wrong w/their car if they achieve only 35 mpg - mainly due to underinflated tires, tons of short drives, mostly city driving, misuse of climate control, not using certain techniques like pulse and glide, and bad alignment.

The day I brought my '07 home on June 9th, I got 25 mpg on the 100 mile trip home. Keeping a running average since then it has been 21.1 mpg. I'm at 1198 miles--- 2 miles and break-in is over. Woo hoo!!!!

I drove from Jersey last night -- 90*+ the entire time. AC on, cruising 70-75 and got 28.2 mpg. Thats including taking off from toll booths about four times (WOT to 75), and a little traffic here and there.

I can get 34mpg by cruising at 50mph, usually about 28 going 60ish maybe 65, i think 70 i get like 26ish. Im in an 07 auto, i just reset the meter while im cruising, otherwise it takes a while for it to go up. Should get around 22-23 city. Thats without flooring it obviously otherwise i drop to the high teens.

This is even odder. I've gotten 99.9 mpg at 60 mph on a 7 mile stretch of downhill highway where you basically don't need to use the gas pedal. But as soon as you get to the bottom it drops to around 35 mpg. This was on my '03 Z (r.i.p.).

Sustaining that is even more unlikely unless you were going downhill. How full was your tank/how long since your previous fill up? What was the reading after almost an entire tank?

The trip computer can be way inaccurate right after a reset.

17 City, 26-28 Highway . . . dealing with 91 mostly or 92 (@ BP) Octane in Nebraska
18-19 City, 28-30 Highway . . . dealing with 93 Octane everywhere else . . . usually minor increase in octane rating shouldn't make or break gas mileage that much, but its just something I noticed enough to share . . .
