Default OK, I think I found my car!

This may not be the right place to post this, but, what the hell. I've benn looking for an '07 Touring coupe in my area, (NY/Ct.), but there's not much around without shipping one in. The dealer I'm working with got one in. It's a silver alloy which is really sharp. I was originally looking for the carbon silver. I went yesterday for my second test drive. It's not as nimble as my S2000, but I like it more for a number of other reasons. Anyway, they kept making the deal a little better. I'm getting the Z for $500 under invoice and they're giving my a somewhat decent trade-in for the Honda. It's so close that it's just not worth the hassle of trying to sell it myself when you factor in the tax break. I loved the S2000, but after four years it's time for a change. I'm excited about getting the Z! I do most of the work on my cars so it's great to have a place like this where there's a lot of good information and people willing to share their experience. If everything goes well, I should have my new Z on Monday night.

To be honest, I didn't understand anything in this post.
Possibly this person has MSRP and invoice confused.

OP - Hopefully you picked up your ride and your in Z heaven right now. $500 under invoice is a very good deal. Congrats on your new purchase. This is by far one of the most supportive car sites I've been on.

I am envious. I'd love to have one of those '07's. But, isn't cost effective for me to trade up. Nicer car than my 04.5 and they seem to just be getting a little better each year.

Be cool and be safe.

I just bought a '07 Touring 6 spd w/side air bags for $200 over invoice and I think thats a good price, especially considering my '03 pre-order Touring 6 spd was $3000 more than i paid for my '07. $500 under invoice is a great price.

Looks like we are getting a lot of return customers. That says a lot about the Z. I'm on my sixth Z now and plan on going for a newer one in a few more years. Like a 2010 Z or something.

Well, there's no such thing as "cost effective" when it comes to car deals, unless you're a dealer of course. Don't forget, whatever "deal" I got on the Z was ripped at the other end on my s2k trade. All in all though, after researchng all the numbers, it was a fair deal, and I'm happy with it.

Yeah, but this time I did it. I'm glad I waited. I basically got a "free" year of driving the Honda!
