man it seems like if you have like the regular 04 model it seems like your fu*ked at least the looks of it with these post haha

Not f'ed, but definitely annoying...My 03 has been relatively good to me beyond the 'normal' feathering and the trans going at ~30k. Oh, and I had the bad window motors (fixed), and the greasy window steaks (fixed) also....No rear axle click...knock on wood.

The initial 04's were essentially the same car as the 03's that's why they share a lot of the same issues. The modifications didn't kick in until the 04.5 models.

I'm really confused. My last 10 are A84H250549. That doesn't seem to correspond to anything that has been said regarding '04 vs '04.5.

I'm confused too, there is no "H", your choices are "T" or "M".

I think I misread the VIN in my dark garage; it's actually an 'M' - so I guess that means I have an '04.5.
