I'm not sure you have the same problem I did but it sounds very similar. I had a metallic clicking noise when stopping from going in reverse as well as take off. It seemed to come from the right rear and sounded to me like it happenned only when the rear suspension was compressed. Anyway, I took it in under warranty and they said the rear axle needed lubrication per a Nissan Tech Bulletin. Noise is all gone now. I hope that helps!

axle click, i just had mine looked at two days ago, they oiled it. Jeff at WCN says its not a problem, just that the connection between the hub and axle will rust just a bit and oil can be used.

Are you certain that the rear axle is not clicking?
Sounds like dropping coins on the pavement?

90 percent chance it is rear axle clicking. Oil is not a fix. Check the appropriate service bulletin.
