I know for a fact it was not slipping. When the light turned on I let go of the gas pedal all the way and the light stayed on. This is when I went on and pressed the TCS button and got no response. If I forget to turn off the TCS and it slips I just let off the gas till it gets under control and I turn it off. It just stayed on and I couldn't do anything about it.

I tried pressing the TCS button but nothing happened. I pulled over to see what was going on. I turned off the car and restarted it again and the SLIP light turned on again after about 5 seconds. I continue to do four more times. After awhile I got frustrated, I turned on the car and just reved the motor and it worked!!! It was back to normal. Can anyone tell me what happened? I dont want to be driving somewhere far and this happing again. I might not be so lucky next time. Thanks!!!
Sounds like a failure of the TCS module or one of the wheel speed sensors.

I have turn vdc off a few times and it def feels stronger and you feel more in tune esp u-turns if you needa actually wind it up. Vdc is very unforgiving quick shifting in to second

Off 100% of the time, even with the 250 days of rain we get.

I am not positive, but in your case if any of the sensors or the module is or is not bad. Then it may also be the size of your rims. i know that 2 inch over stock shouldn't be a problem if you had the 18's. But maybe the 20's longer rotation spin is causing some type of error at higher speeds. I do not know anyone with 20's on there Z. Ask around others who have bigger rims 20 and or above and see if they have a similar issue.

Off/disabled now because I think it blew the 50 amp fuse or something. I had a lapse in judgement and nailed 3rd leaving a turn and the car let me know its not pulling any punches, haha!

I always drive with it off, but one day, and thank GOD it was ON, I was heading out of town. Roads were fine, but one area where the cold air shoots down from the mountains and ices the road, my car all of sudden weaved, and fishtailed. At least a 500ft drop off, and single lane semi-tractor traffic too. If it wasn't for the TCS/VDC on, I would have for sure have been killed or seriously injured.

It was the scariest 5 seconds of my life. The car steered braked and remained in control for me. I was in 6th gear as well, and all I did was slightly accelerate for a slight incline.

!!

When I first bought my z I only had a vague idea of what the VDC was. I learned fast when I tried to pull onto a busy freeway and lost power shifting into 2nd. Scared the crap out of me. Now it is always off unless I'm on the freeway in the rain.
