Angry Mr. Shopping cart meets the Z

Well, it happened... Mr. Shopping cart met the drivers side rear fender well on my new SB Z...

The GOOD news is there is NO paint damage and the clear coat isn't even scratched. The bad news is.... I see a small dent.

The dent is so small that you can only see it if you look in the proper direction while the sun shines on it. (It just isn't smooth).. However, I (Mr. ****) know that it's there...

Anyone here do autobody work and tell me my options? I don't think I'll be able to have someone do the "paintless dent removal" because the dent is on the lip of the fender well. If you feel under there, there is an inner fender liner inside.

I am NOT liking the idea of having a body shop use a little bondo and have to paint the fender... (Short of leaving it alone, I think this will be my only option) What are the chances of a good body shop fixing this to look like new again? remember this is a BLACK car. Am I taking a chance at even considering having a body shop work on this? Will the paint match perfectly? Will anyone know they used bondo? IS the dent even large enough to even USE any bondo?

UGH I am sick!

thats ok, I think this forum could very well be renamed, **** retentive anonymous. bring it to a paintless dent removal shop and see what they say, they are the experts, and they can do some amazing things.

if they cant do it, dont do anything, youll probably only end up with it worse off, and more of a hassle.

Some moron shoved a shopping cart into my rear bumper, leaving 3 very noticeable gouges--the largest about the size of a penny. Body shop estimate for repair/repainting = $450.

My front bumper has a cresent moon dent in it. I don't know from what. Looks like half of an exhaust pipe. It left no paint damage (I have a clear bra) but it left a pretty good sized eye sore. It stands out like a sore thumb in the sunlight. I'm so pissed. I wish I could have caught the person who did it. I guess I will be forced to get an bodykit. Not my favorite option, but I hate the indention. How do you indent the rubber bumper

At least you guys can blame some one else!

I knocked a shovel off my garage wall into my passenger door. Got a nice ding down to the primer. I took it to the dealer and they said it would cost $490

So I'm gonna take it to dent wizard and get them to pop it out for $149 and then paint in the little chip with the JDM paint/clearcoat pen. I'm just afraid to get it fixed because I know as soon as I do some shopping cart will mess it up somewhere else!

That's funny. OK, it's not funny. But you know what, I took down my shovel, and anything else that "might have" fallen off the walls of my garage, just in case.

I came out of Wallmart one night to see an old lady walking away from a cart. She had left the cart about two spots down from my car in the middle of the parking spaces and walked away from it. Needless to say the cart rolled into my front end before I got to it. (Lucky for me I don't have metal to dent on the front end)..anyways.. as soon as I had made it over to the car I lifted the cart off the ground in a fit of anger..almost over my head (more of a powerlift) then threw it about 5 feet from me on its side. The lady was like ..... I had made it about 10 steps towards her car before I realized what I was doing..and decided I shouldn't go over there since I was already pissed. She tore off ...obviously realizing what she had done. Well I checked the front clip and the paint was slightly scuffed.. obviously no dents.. just a scrape.

From that point on it I see a rogue cart anywhere..I collect it and move it away.. It doesn't matter where its at.. or if its even near my car. Hopefully some other people will gain similar respect someday. Until then..I still park out in BFE (you know about 1/4 a mile a way) Rain, snow, sun, wind, full lot or empty parking lot.

Sorry to hear about the car man.

I had two decent sized parking lot dings removed in my black GTP recently, and you can't even tell where they were now. I was very pleased.

Sorry to hear about your car.

Note to self: Always park up hill from all shopping carts...
