If you knew anything about spoon, you know that their philsophy is not drastically changing the stock components as you said they do earlier in a post. Their cars do no make much power over stock. Their main focus really is lightening the car as much as possible. Their brakes aren't even that much better than stock, they are only lighter. A company that aims to save ounces of weight by going as far producing lighter radiator brackets. They use FACTORY airboxes with replacement panel filters. Hell, their legendary SW388 wheel is a repainted Regamaster Evo. Spoon is a chassis tuning company as far as I am concerned. TypeOne their sister company is not much different.
Nismo on the other hand builds cars like the Z-tune GTR and 380RS Z which offer DRAMATIC improvements over their stock counter parts. I am not talking about the Nismo badged AEM intake you buy at your local dealer. I am talking about the hardcore Nismo parts offered in Japan.
So before you come on this forum making assumptions do your research.
Nismo:Nissan
Mugen:Honda (not Spoon)
TRD:Toyota
MazdaSpeed:Mazda

spoon uses stock airbox but also uses ducting down to the bumper to make it cold air.

yah.. spoon's own specialty engineered cold air induction... i bet i took them a long time to engineer that I should have bought a dc2.. the factory support for performance at honda is way ahead of the game.

Going back to the topic, I think that Jim Wolf Technologies is a pretty solid company that makes a lot of Z-parts and after talking to a few Nissan engineers, they were impressed by the R&D compared to nismo. But Nismos ia definitely Nissan's Mugen.
