I have consistently been getting 20.xx mpg. I don't mind, though b/c I knew it wasn't a gas efficient car when I got it.

I average 24-25mpg and I have 45,000 miles on the car. On the long trips home to Ohio from Louisiana I've seen 30+ but I was going 90+ mph.

The Z gets pretty good mileage for what it is. I average 22-24 mpg.

Also, like the OP, I'm willing to bet that those who complain about gas mileage probably floor the accelerator, keep RPMs constantly high, brake heavily, etc. That's like complaining that you don't get enough sleep because you go to sleep at 3 AM every night.

It's not rocket science, DRIVE SLOWER IF YOU WANT BETTER MPG.

If you bought your Z and you're concerned about gas prices, then trade it for a 4-banger that gets 50mpg and get done with the whining.

+2 I would like to know too. I recently drove a fully loaded 2007 Altima loaner from the stealership and it had a MPG saver readout that showed when you were getting the best mileage. When I coasted to the light in neutral, that's when mpg really shot up. If your foot is off the gas how you be wasting gas?

Don't whine about it... you got a ****ing sports car. What the hell you expect, the mileage of a Prius?

I get ~240 out of my Evo, but I don't whine like a crybaby about it... it's to be expected.
