Default Another Stolen Z Thread

Well this morning some douch decides to take off in my Z. 5:30am and Im sititng in the Z, I realized that I left my hat inside the house. So I run inside for no more than a minute and I hear the beautiful, yet alarming sound of my Z. I knew exactly what was going on so I quickly grabbed the keys to my mom's truck and start driving like a maniac towards the 101 fwy. People....if you're going to steal a car, please steal one that you can drive. This guy was burning up my clutch bad, which explains why a big *** Expedition on 22's was able to catch up and keep up to my lightly modded Z. The whole time Im on the phone with the 911 operator letting her know of my route. 101 south to the 10 east. Well at this point he is going about 30-40mph on the 3rd lane. Im right behind him until he comes to a complete stop in the middle of the freakin fwy. I pull up along side and tell him to get the fawk out of my car. BAstard still has the nerve to tell me to wait and also says please. Im like wtf!! So I get out and he jumps out and start running towards on coming traffic. Almost got hit by a big *** semi. Too bad he didnt. Didnt give chase because I'd rather live to drive the Z that to die and not ever drive it again. A few minutes later a tow truck shows up and helps me push the Z to the shoulder. Clutch is completely gone. CHP shows up waaay after. The idiot also forgot to take his BB gun, which was sitting in my passenger seat. Had the Z towed home and tomorrow its headed to WCN for a new clutch. Moral of the story....Dont ever leave your car unattended at 5:30am when you think all the knuckleheads are asleep. No other damage to repot. LAPD showed up to my house a few minutes ago...umm 9 hrs later, because they tracked the LoJack. Figures. Then End.

Fun story! Good to see it back with you. Surprised that you would leave keys in the car in southern Cali, regardless of the time of day.

All's well that ends well.

Good stuff man. But you should know better than to leave your keys in the car. Are the police able to retrieve prints off the BB gun?

Thats crazy, I always leave me car on and running for short periods of time. I never had a problem. Ill run into the 7-11 really quick or the convenience store in the gas station. I have never had a problem and I live in Detroit.
Go figure.

Well glad you got it back. And you will remember this story and possibly laugh about it later in life.

thats whats happening here too, we have military people who go to work like 5 or so in the morning thinking nothing bad can happen if they leave the car real quick to get something they forgot from their apartment , but when they get back their car is gone cause they left it starting, in this one apartment complex weve had 3 people whose car got stolen...same modus operandi.

its been passed down since then to be more carefull.

too bad you didnt catch him I would have beat his ***. I've heard if police dont respond in a certain time you can sue the department. Happy to see low jack work so well.

Glad you caught him.

But leaving your car running while not around it is asking for someone to take it. Hell, I don't even do that when my car is in my garage.

wow you're better than me.... personally i woulda held his *** at gunpoint and made him lay down on the highway till the cops got there... plus if they knew you had a gun they woulda got there faster... as far as leaving your car running.... lol you were asking for it... just be glad that @sshole didnt know how to drive it otherwise you would been replacing the whole car...
