Same thing happened to me at Fry's. I went to Fry's at around 8:30pm a couple days ago, and parked in a really far parking space. It would take 1 minute to go to the front door of Fry's, and I walk fast. I parked kind of hidden next to a lifted truck hoping that no on will see my Z, but after 15 minutes going in and out. A Ford Ranger parked next to me, and the store closes at 9pm, so what the hell?!?!?!?. Luckily, my door wasn't damaged- knock on wood. And that wasn't the biggest surprise, I saw Mario Williams' Lamborghini parked right in front of the store with the engine on with a license plate North Carolina. I walked in the back of the engine, it feels like a hot blowing fan. For someone who is making a lot of money, why would he exchange/refund a computer game/program? He drove 15 miles to do that, and it had been raining. That is the car he drove.....

People like you are the reason drivers like that get away with what they do. Keying the car would deter him/her from ever even thinking about parking next to a car like the Z again. (When there are plenty others to choose from).

One day, one went right past my Z within inches, and I park behind esplanades, never at the low point of the lot and as far away from civilization as I can. On occasion, when I feel reeeally lucky, I might find a store front end space or next to a H/C space, and cross my fingers, but worrying that someone is going to park their shopping cart right up against my car door.
