But since the hypes been out for ages I bet I'd not even get to touch one for a year at least?

It's worth a shot. Go by there and ask about it. I don't think you will have to wait a year if you ordered one. Now that they are not taking pre-orders anymore, I'm not sure how they go about it.

Some people are trying to off they're pre order deposits. Try the classifieds here or try ebay or try some other 350z web sites.

I didn't pre-order either. So...

I made an email request a couple days ago through cars.com for a price quote on a Z. 2 dealers called me back and said they would open up for orders again in Septemeber for MSRP and Nov/Dec delivery. They also said leasing would be available, but they didn't know any details (residual value etc.).

That's just two Virginia dealers though.

Those are the two closest, but the folks I spoke to are much farther away. I got my quotes through cars.com and I guess pence and victory aren't participating. The closest dealer was 90 miles away, which I would buy from if the price was right.

even though we pre-ordered, many of us will have at a minimum 9 months from ordering to delivery. I put my deposit down in Feb of 01
