Arnold K. has some good points there. Consider this experience a lesson to be learned. I always say education is expensive and looks to me that you just got off very easy with no damage to yourself and the car. I don't want to be a douch, just wanted to mention that. Thankfully, you're OK and hopefully you'll be more careful in the future.
As a side note, I always wondered how well TCS and VSC work and maybe conditions like this make the weakness of those systems come out. As I see it, they react to some conditions and GUESS what should happen next and they do it. If you guess, you'll guess wrong and things can get hairy. Human brain > TCS & VSC. I much rather have the control and not rely on a machine to do the work for me. This is my case though. Those systems are in place because many drivers need them so that they don't kill themselves while driving a car like the Z.
Again, thank god you're fine. Learn from this and drive safely.

looks like God was with ya. just to remind you that people die in traffic fatalities quite often. any one of our "numbers" could be called out at any time. live your life to the fullest.

But as I have stated before, I drove in the rain with the rear stock potenzas nearly bald and NEVER had anything close to this problem. Well needless to say Im more saftey oriented now.
(BTW if you go 45 mph on 6-10 the rain will be the least of your problems. If a cop doesnt get you, Im sure an 18 wheeler goin 70-75 will)

And you have no idea how many times Ive been cruising along at 70 and have soccer moms flying past me or old beat up honda's pushin 80 and 90

Oh ok. The ABS should prevent it from locking up, but weirder things have happened.
