Should the breaks lock up still if TCS is off? Because 2 out of the 3 or 4 times my brakes have locked have been with TCS off. JW

after reading all these stories with the Z loosing control, what do you guys recommend to help reduce the risk? I know tires made with wet climate tread is the best, but living in California there's really a waste of money getting rainy tires. Would anything else in the suspension chain reduce the risk of fish tailing or loosing control in the rain?

Guess you missed the rain earlier today, lol. It poured earlier. Looks nice out right now though. Unfortunetly I'm at work and not at home to enjoy it.

Honestly, the chances of losing control of the car on rainy roads is low as long as you have plenty of tread on your tires (even with summer tires), reduce your speed, and avoid standing water.

Get new tires bro... Remember 2 get them with good wet traction... many company makes good tires both dry and wet, not just rainy tires no more like back in the days...
I disagree w/ spf4000, when u hit a water puddle with rear wheel drive cars, even when u are going straight, especially with summer tires or tires w/out thread( I always make sure I use my tires "all the way"), it's pretty dangerous and scary, don't even try cut people off or race...u r gambling w/ ur life!

This is the link to the vid I took a few minutes after the spin out. I spun out maybe 10 car lengths before those big direction signs.

You can see the sheer amount of traffic I managed to avoid. And sorry about the poor video quality, I took it with my cell phone. If the quality is too bad for you, just hit the minimize video button, next to the full screen one.

TCS has nothing to do with the brakes, it only cuts power. You need VDC to get brake action.

Maybe if only one wheel had traction, maybe, or perhaps on ice.
