getting mpg's in the 30's is not that hard, especially if its on flat ground. My personal best ( iknow i need proof) was around 36 mpg avg speed was 79 mph, the ac was on too I am moving out to california at the end of this week, i will be sure to take some pics out on the road. i might even get better miliage once we get out into the midwest, GA has hills......

Best was 29.1 MPG on an entire tank.
No A/C, flat roads, and averaged about 65MPH.

Usually on road trips, doing 75MPH with A/C I'll average 26-27.

______________

....and PS, the car's trip computer can be manipulated to show anything. Just reset it on the top of a long hill, and coast a few miles, it’ll show over 65MPG. Some guy did it and posted a pic here a few years back. I’ll try to find it.

Getting 30mpg on an entire tank is much more impressive.

I'm sure it is feasible. Remember the elevation. No cheating coming down passes.
If you come down them, you have to include going up them.

Going 20 miles is not proof that you are consistently getting over 30 mpg all the time. Drive at least 500 miles or a tankful of gas, and report back your MPG. Daily driving is much more harsh to your MPG than a one-time 20 mile trip mileage test.

You go do that and tell me how it goes. Asking people to drive 500 miles is a stretch. This isn't scientific research here so don't be so critical of it.
