oh im horrible about it right with you guys. I just hate it when people know how you get in the car and how hard you work to keep it clean and to make that 500 dollar payment a month. Then they put cups on top etc. I had a girl i took with me just to a resturant she put her cup on my car and i got so pissed i calmly walked over grabbed her cub and through it over in the parking lot wiped the water down and didnt say a word to her.

I can spend 4 hours easily just detailing wheels wheel wells and interior not even washing it. I work hard to keep my baby and get the same joy out of it everyday so i take care of it and when somebody with me doesnt do the same they dont get to ride in her anymore.

Besides, I consider it as a part of my image. To me a dirty car is similar to not shaving, wearing dirty clothes, or not taking showers.

Ditto...well put my friend

Man, the list continues. I'm glad I fit right in with you all. I guess I'm not that obsessive when it comes to my Z. It's just a normal habit for all Z owners =]

OCD FTW. I sometimes tell people with especially oily hands to just leave the door open when they get out, and I shut it myself.

+1 on black being the worst color to clean... but damn, no color looks better when it is clean.

Think about it, why is it that a woman get so **** when she breaks her nails? Because they spend so much time, money and energy on looking good. It is the same concept with our cars.

OCD to the MAX... I bought my Z, brought it home and covered it for a Month!!! That's how long it took me to find someone who would come to my garage to install a Clear Bra. How many people can do that after buying a brand new car?!?!?

None of my neighbors even knew I bought it until after the Ventureshield was installed... They were all curious how I already had my plates and no TEMP sticker... LOL

You've got that right about georgia. the sucky thing about atlanta is this f#$king so-called drought! IT F#$KING rains every day!!!!! THERE IS NO DROUGHT IF IT'S RAINING 24/7 (which it is).

I'm so pissed at my apartment. they shut the water off in our carwash and it's been off all summer because of the "so-called drought". The closed the carwash, yet they still manage to water their precious grass. i used to wash my car 2 times/week, but now i am lucky to even wash it once a week because i have to drive all the way outside the perimeter to wash it at my friend's place.

Yesterday they turned the water back on, but get this. The car wash is only open from 12 AM - 10 AM on sunday mornings!!!!

You guys think you have it bad. Even though my car is not a daily driver. I live on an 1/2 mile dirt road. It's garage kept. But everyday some type of action is taken to make sure my baby is clean. The road is very well taken care of and isn't near as bad as others, so far as dust. But it still sucks. The hardest part is keeping the wheels clean.

Everyone that has seen my car can't believe where I live and are surprised to see how clean it stays. Pride, that's all I can say.

Nice tread.

My neighbors clean their car as the seasons change, which means 4 times a year! They are always giving me a rach of Sh-t. But it is funny come time to trade and they get their butts kicked. I alway sell my cars instead of trading and usually within a week or two because of the condition and maintenance.

"Why are you waxing the wheels?"
"gee...I've never seen anyone clean their license plate"

Yes! I must be...but damn, I paid for the car...I want it to be nice...

is it me???? or are there others "out there" that have the same issues???

(thanks for the rant!)

SO
I get made fun of from my friends because I want to wash my car so much

Haha I drove a girl home once. I accidentally drove over a bump that was too high (did all I could, at an angle, but it was just too high and the road after the bump dipped downward too). So I thought nothing I could do, just ride it out real slow. I'm wincing as I hear the bottom of the car scrape SCRHH SCRHH SCRHH, SCRHH, ...
Suddenly she says in a pissy tone, something like "why can't you go a little faster?" I never spoke with her again or gave her another ride in the car, even though we have mutual friends and live near each other.

I know exactly how you feel. If they could only be as understanding with us as they like us to be with them.

Think about it, why is it that a woman get so **** when she breaks her nails or their shoes? Or God forbid that right after they got their hair done we dont give them a compliment for them to feel worthy about themself. Because they spend so much time, money and energy on looking good.

It is the same concept with our cars.

p.s. By the way, that bump story hurt it me when you told it, and it was not even my car. lol
