My only issue is the fronts...since the rotor is larger...I can't quite get my hand between the caliper and wheel....I normally just stick the washrag thru and grab it from the back of the wheel and wipe away....

is it a pain in the @ss....yes....do they look better when they're clean....yes...is it worth the effort....yes....

Normally I do the wheels first before the car....saves me all the bending over at the end when I'm tired...lol

I hear...

"Are you washing it again?"
"Are you waxing it again?"
"why are you washing the wheelwells?"
"Do you really have to clean the inside part of the wheels?"
"Why are you waxing the wheels?"
"gee...I've never seen anyone clean their license plate"
"why are you under the car wiping/cleaning things?"
"why are you wiping the engine compartment?"

I say....

"Get yer butt off my fender...."
"Get yer dirty oily hands off my paint..."
"Stop leaving garbage in my car..."
"Get the hell away from the car..."
o O (did that jerk have to park so close to my car?)
"Don't slam the door!...the door works fine..."
"Don't kick the side of the door/car when you get in"

(I could go on forever...but you get the idea...)

I Don't know...MAN! is it just me?...am I @nal or what?
Yes! I must be...but damn, I paid for the car...I want it to be nice...
I'm not a "take yer shoes off before you get in" type of maniac....but I expect "others" to respect my pride and joy....

is it me???? or are there others "out there" that have the same issues???

(thanks for the rant!)

SO
LOL!! Brother, Iam SO there with you!!! EVERYTHING you just wrote I do, say and feel. ESPECIALLY parking so close. There is a entire empty parking lot and the only other car that pulls in somehow has to park right next to my Z!! WHY!!!?? And I think, "Dont open that door too wide". And this is when I park, more like tuck in, my Z in a corner spot where only one side is exposed and its squeezed as far in as possible.
And yes, Im just **** about keeping it clean, sparkling and shiny. Oh and it smells good too.

I know exactly what ALL of you are saying.... I bought my car used so there are those few "scratches" (more like small scratch rub marks) in a few spots in my car... I didn't notice it when I first got my Z about 1 1/2 yrs ago but man It buggs the hell outa me.. If any of you know what I can do to get it off let me know... I wash my car weekly, and my one HUGE pet peave is when people slam my door... lean against my car, park too close... well never mind I guess it's alot of pet peaves... My wifes friends know to stay completely away from my car.. I B1tched out one of her friends hardcore with my last car cause she leaned on it.. it's only about 100x worse with my Z.

A little story about slamming doors.. My wife who rarely rides with me in my Z cause it makes her "sick" always slams my door... well now my passanger window doesn't go up with I put it down. I put the window down and nothing, so I have to re-open the door and shut it again and then it goes up.. It just started about 2 weeks ago and well yeah... I'm not very happy. My Z is too good for something like that to happen to it... I need to go get it fixed, any of you have this problem? Anyways good to know that we're not alone!

I have to agree with all of you on this one. The smallest scratch, whether it be on the inside or outside, will bother me for days or even weeks. My biggest pet peeve though is when people kick the door panel as they are getting out. There seems to be no exception to the rule, everyone that rides in my car ends up doing it, then they look at me like I'm crazy when I tell them to be more careful.

I take a grass blower and blow the dust off the car! Works great. This is for 'loose' dust. Out here in CA it does get very dusty, and if you've driven for a while, that dust has to be washed off. If your Z is getting a little dusty while in the garage, use the blower.

some things that I do, that get people wondering if I am insane:

1: Have a vacum connected at all times, right next to my car, so everytime I get out, I just do a quick sweep of the car, so I never have to see any dirt on the mats or dust anywhere

2: have stacks and stacks of microfiber towels, one use, then they get washed, even if I only use it for a tiny spot.

3: eyeglass cloths for the mirrors

4: no touching the dash with your hands, or mine.

5: wax my license plate

6: use meguires ultimate quick detailer, on the entire car, literally every single day.

Hopefully you wont get so obsessed you need door defenders to ward of door dings

Default Im the worst!

I used to drive a Mazdaspeed MX-5 with leather seats, my neighbor once ask me to give him a ride somewhere and he was wearing a key-ring that was kind-off sharp (I did not know this at the time) and he end-up poking a hole in my passeger seat. I was Fking pissed to say the least.

So from that day forward I ask all of my passegers to empty their pockets before they get in my Z. even my own dad and girls that I dated. And if they wear jeans with metal buttons, they cannot ride in my car. They look at me like I am crazy or something...

And when they give me this face , I ask, do you know how much it cost me to drive this car? and they are like, . That's when I tell them $830.00 a month, and they are like ! That's when I say, are you take off what is in your Fking pockets now??
