Seems like a good deal, considering that NAV is a $2K option on top of the $31K Touring 5A car. However, make 110% sure that you want an automatic. I got an automatic on my last sports car and I regretted it; I made sure to get a manual for my 350Z! Also, if I'm not mistaken, not that many people are interested in automatic Z's, so you might take that into consideration at resale time. The best example I can think of are NSX's -- automatic NSX's are unloved compared to their stick shift brethren!

The only thing I don't like about stick is that if you drive in heavy traffic everyday to work it is the constant shifting.......I prefer automatic and stick combination. That way I can have the flexibility......

I'd be all over that like Oprah on a baked ham! Everyone else is spending at least a thousand more than that without the nav system.

Dont miss the DVD man, you'll be sorry it works great.

The auto- go with what you like, its your car.

1,500 miles is NOTHING, what are you waiting for.

Change the oil, she will be good as new,

I think the stick NSX had major increase in HP over the auto NSX. That was the main reason why it was unloved.

synth19

no......I wish it included sales tax.......

They went up $500 to $31,500 because I think they realized it was too low.........but I still think it is a good deal compared to all the other 350's at www.autotrader.com

Tell them to back down $250 and you will buy the car today.

Dont mess around with them or they will mess around with you.

They know they are offering a good deal, so it seems like they are trying to feel you out.

Go ahead buy it. The same car was being sold in my area with 2k miles for 35k. However it was a 6mt.

I am new to forums but am getting the "lingo"

Can anybody explain why a 6MT is more expensive than a 5AT ?

Years ago, the Automatic was ALWAYS more expensive than the manual stick.

??????

They figured most people were going to get the touring so auto was standard;they knew most people would want stick so we will make it an option on the most popular model.People want all the do dads and will pay for them so they can make a little more money off you;smart marketing.I bought the touring with 6 spd didnt like what they were doing but I could not drive a sports car without stick!Love my car with no problems!(Over 4000 miles since Feb)

Incorrect. The touring automatic costs less because it only has the 17" wheels.

5AT means 5 speed auto
6MT means 6 speed manual (stick)

Also incorrect. This manual tranny in the F bods and Vette and is more expensive than the auto counterpart also. I am not sure if it is due to higher demand in a sports car or because this is an expensive tranny.

You saying I was incorrect, or the person I replied to? Yeah, I've seen that on quite a few high performance cars. I figure the number of autos that are produced, especially for Vettes (as sick as that is, probably 75% of them are autos, if not more) keeps the cost down among other reasons.

Take the auto, I have the auto. and I am very glad I do. When it comes to resale, I would prefer an auto to a standard because of the abuse the car with the standard could have been through. for that price it seems like a good deal..

I was actually referring to your post but it is a very good point that in fact 17 inch wheels usually cost less than 18's and that probably contributes to the price difference some on the Z.
