A s2k for example that can be a 05 with really low miles. Yea not that fast but if you buy the 07 Z brand spankn new for lets say 30 g's, buy the time you sell it you probably will get around 20 or maybe 24 with the mods. The rx i bought i put 30,000 miles on it, bought it for 15,000 thousand, put a few mods on it and sold it for 18,500. So i really was just borrowing it. With the new 06 i bought, i will overall looses 1/5 the value or so by the time i sell it. My next car will be a used nsx in 2009 or so. That way it used with super low miles
wow, the RX-7 was another pick that was REALLY considering, cuz i LUV the slick look, the 1.3 liter pumping out 275hp (correct me if im wrong), light weight and the over all balance of the car. what more can you want! high hp and the ability to take turns/corners but the reliablity and maintance stop me from getting it.

A friend of mine that works at DRAG Magazine was NEVER get a RX-7 unless you wanna replace the motor every 60,000 miles or soO. So I never considered it after that cuz i do plan to drive it daily.

If 35 grand is your limit I would NOT recommend a Supra. You will spend that much IF NOT MORE for a VERIFIABLE well maintained Supra and even then you will be paying out the butt for maintenance. Also I hope you were not planning on financing 35g for the Supra because almost all the banks I have dealt with do not loan out their money based on Market Value which is what has driven the price of the Supra so high. Also from your description of how you want the car to handle the Supra is a freakin PIG in the twistie department. Supras are good for looking good and going fast in a straight line....and breaking when you dont want them to thus keeping you stuck in the garage while your buddies cruise on Friday nights

My roommate owned an s2000 and if you buy this car I really hope you are less than 6 foot tall or it becomes cramped very quickly.

NSX I can speak nothing of except I have heard about its notoriously high maintenance costs as well.

Honestly out of that list I would probably get the 350Z. New motor with great potential, new warranty, etc etc

I am currently weighting my options to buy a car and my choices are so hard to pick from. SO, here are a list of my options and hopefully you guys will give me some good reasons why i should pick the 350z over the rest:

1. 07' 350z
2. 93' - 98' Toyota Supra
3. 04'- 06' Subaru STI (Had a 03' WRX and FELL DEEPLY in love with it. HEHE )
4. .05' - 07' Honda S2K
5. 94' - 96' Acura NSX

HEHE... So hard to pick. Well, I plan on buying A car by this winter if not early early spring next year or maybe sooner cuz im F****** ICHING to hop into a sports car again. its been 3+ years since ive drove anything that went fast.

Oh, one more thing. Do you guys know or seen a 350z pumping out 400whp ALL MOTOR (non-turbo). Cuz if i plan on getting the 350z I want it to be 400whp non-turbo, I kinda have this thing about turboing a N/A car. hehe Although i may turbo a 350z Laaaaaattttteeeeeerrrrrr down the line.

Sorry for the LONG intro, I hope i can get some help from you guys.

Peter-

<~~~ luv the icons haha
this is a Z forum, obviously the answer you are going to get is 350Z.

Hey man, I just went through a similar decision myself, but didn't have as much time to consider. My car was stolen and I needed some new wheels.

I was looking in the same price range as you and wanted to try and get something reasonable, like a 2 seaters is reasonable, lol. Anyways, I mean more in regards to being a daily driver.

Im always look at cars and have about 5 in mind that I wouldn't mind owning someday so I had a good start on making my decision.

I was pretty much set on a 350z, G35, or a used Z06 Vette. Ultimately, I decided after pricing and considering I could get a full warranty on a new 350z, lower interest rate, etc. I ended up going with the 350, plus man you can't go wrong with the looks on this car. I have had more compliments and people staring as I drive by which I really wasn't expecting. Plus besides that, it really is a fun car to drive.

I saw the first page of this thread and the date it was made, and knew without looking that it was resurrected by our resident grave digger.

gotta be careful with buying used cars. no engine/drivetrain warranty. im not the only one saying that its risky not knowing how previous owners drove the cars.

u can afford an M3 easily. but those r kinda overrated
