Incident With Performance Nissan In Duarte
Interesting read.
I got hooked on another one these "Dont go to XXX" or "Don't buy from XXX," and couldn't put it down. These posts certainly become long. I guess it's sort of like driving past an accident where everyone slows down to have a look.
One thing that seems common to these threads is the involvement of aftermarket ("non-stock") parts.
This one was a little different:
-- Three different Sponsors taking some light jabs at each other
-- The thread starter's (that would be George) account seems to be very accurate and holds-up quite well

And the fact that the dealer has gone back on their word by trying to reduce the problem by repairing rather than replacing is the actual party who is doing the "spitting" on the hand after a handshake with the victim.
If the dealer was any kind of good business type of company they should see to it that this particular damage should have been rectified within a week or two and that is even stretching it. And I don't care if the dealer is well represented on a vehicular forum or not their action is unconsciable.
An lastly the fact that people on this forum have jumped all over the guy whose car was damaged is just as unconsciable and disgusting as well. This guy has every right to use the "s" word whether it be his initial post about the damage or not. And for these forum members to go on and hit him while he is down about getting his facts straight is nothing short of amazingly ignorant.
Sorry this is a little off-topic, but this whole thread has become off-topic....Spike100, your location shows "Frostbite Falls", is this perhaps Forest Falls, Cali?

My. my my
Talk about getting off track. Talk about sponsor hostility. Talk about foolishness. It's all here. I agree - Close this thread, and let's get away from this drama.

Frostbite Falls is actually the mythical home of Rocky the Flying Squirrel and Bullwinkle the Moose.
Legend has it this is International Falls, Minnesota. I don't live there, but my location is frigid in the Winter.--Spike

this is what's wrong with America. Nobody gives a Sh*t. We screw up your car, not our fault. We blame the mfg, let's' blame the customer, let's blame the aliens. Where does it end. You screw up, take the blame, take reponsibility. This is not rocket surgery. Geez, go in for an oil change, later spend over $700 for somebody else's mistake....
done
I am also drawn back by the fact that the mods are supporting PN and bashing George, but I guess that is the money talking (sponsors)... I read through this entire thread in one sitting, as others have also done. It is a shame this the event even happened (curbing the rim) but it should have been rectified promptly and courteously, plain and simple.
Powder coating someones rims is a compromise, not a solution. 100% back to normal should have been PN's goals all along, not a half A$$ job.
I agree with many others on here that there seems to be a nation-wide problem with Nissan dealers and their customer service level (sub-par at best).
George, I'm sorry you had to go through all this crap, from the dealer and your fellow Z owners as well, who chose to ridicule you and poke fun at your mannerisms. I'm sorry, on behalf of those who still believe in customer service, loyalty, and good ol' fashion politeness.

Are you serious, Mr. Super Moderator? If so, you need to impose a ban on yourself. I think you are quite out of touch, except with defending one of the site's sponsors. Shame on you and your household.

I bet they gave George thier cost on the rim (I hope...) he had to purchase to match.

The last dozen or so posts demonstrate exactly why this thread should have been closed a LONG time ago. These threads tend to get way off topic, the bashing and negativity gets way out of hand. It has nothing to do with me, you, sponsors, etc. It should have stayed between George and PN, not everybody else but some people can't resist piling on, offering their worthless, baseless opinions and suggestions. Until you've been on both sides on the fence, you don't know what you are talking about relative to this thread.
