I’ve searched and found what I’m looking for, I wanted to know if you can tell from the vin number, which you can but I dont seem to follow.. might not be the only one

ex. JN1AZ34D64T160772 (coupe) "Coupe VINs from D*4T160001, E*4T060001" ?? what does that mean.

in other words, if your VIN is D*4T160000, then you have a 2004. If you have a VIN where the last numbers are GREATER than 60000, then it is 2004.5. For example D*4T156000 is 2004. VIN # D*4T162000 would be 04.5

Ahh cool so the example posted is obviously an 04.5 cause the vin is greater...D*4T160772 = 04.5 ok I got it thanks

 

I've been noticing a few ".....D84M102026" digits in the Vin # lately.. its different from the ones mentioned above, anyone know how the 04.5 applies to this M102026 ?

 

The "M" designation is from a different plant where everything since has been made. If you have an 04 with "M" designation, then it's definitely a 2004.5
