I have read those results in more than one place. there is a pretty stock 7AT on here that ran a high 11 with just rear end gears. It is more than .2 for sure.
The 6MT and 7AT have the same HP. Maybe you meant that the 7AT loses some hp in the tranny. (not much and certainly not considerably) It more than makes up for it in the shifting speed and the gearing. The clutch pedal as we know it will be gone in a couple years. Note the GTR.

The Z is not that stiff...my god, your all a bunch of pussies! (lol no offense)
I drove my g/f custom delux truck...old Chevy, now that has a stiff clutch. I got back into the Z and about put the clutch pedal through the floor.

Probably not the best thread for my first post but I just got a Z 2 days ago.
As a UPS driver, I've driven probably 100 different trucks with different clutches, trannys, etc. Some even without powersteering. The Z shifter feels great. My dd car is a corolla and its not near as good as the Z.

here is the Car and Driver test. 13.1 bone stock, so you know it can do high 12's at a different track. The fastest I have seen a 370Z 6MT at the drags is 13.7.
