I was in Greece for the summer and a brand new Grand Touring coupe over there costs about $80,000 and a Grand Touring Roadster close to $90,000.

The Z looks (and drives) like a million bucks. It's just a beautiful car - if BMW or Mercedes built the exact same car, with their badge, it WOULD be a $60-70k car here (Hmmm, I'm thinking M-Z-coupe, CaymanS...).
I could have put my $ down on a new '08 M3, or a Porsche, but I went for what seemed like a smarter purchase (mostly the Z is my daily commuter, but I track it and leave my other vehicles off the street). A lot of value for the $ with the Z, and it's not even expensive.
As mentioned above, in other countries, the Z IS an expensive car!

I know I said I was done posting in here, but....I'm actually glad you pointed out the gunk under fingernails comment, because it is one of the poorly worded parts that I neglected to clarify. What I was trying to say was that it is a result of working with your hands all day, and it is what those guys have to put up with while, in many cases, not making as much money as someone who gets to eat lunch in a cushy air conditioned office. I was trying to say that I can understand where some resent may come from. In many respects I admire these type of guys for having the motivation to work such physically taxing jobs on a daily basis. Hopefully I am now successfully conveying my point that I have no disrespect for people who work these types of jobs.

I'm glad we're on the same page now. Definitely no hard feelings, just being more careful before posting on my part. Have a nice weekend all.

Relax, I think for the most we all understand. I sit in an office all day, in the A/C. Lucky me. Lucky you. I make good money. You make good money. Im going to have a beer tonight with a friend who works construction and makes TWICE what I make. LOL!! Good for him!!

In Uk 350z goes for around 27500 pounds which in dollars is about $54k , in the UK however the resale value of a used 350z is pretty good as they hold their values really well,

also not my place to say but think some people on here owe redkaz04 an apology, to quick to judge imo

Honestly, if you have a good job, they typically have a credit union. Going through the CU saves you a whole lot of money. Granted last time i checked my credit score it was 765, my interest is at 5.5%. I know its not the best but still its not bad. Plus with my CU payments get automatically taken out of bi weekly paychecks. That would be my personal advice. On the subject of why people think the car is expensive, look at it. Nothing and i mean NOTHING looks remotely close to it that costs less that $70K with the exception of Corvettes or Caymans.
