2007 350z Notice alot of heat coming from the floors
I just got a 2007 350z over the weekend. I've noticed alot of heat coming from the passenger side floor but only slightly from the driver side. I was sweating my *** off coming back from my alarm install today.I dont know if the alarm has anything to do with it .. I got the Viper 5900 remote start installed today.Alarm works Perfect no buring electrical smell or anything. The car only has 50 miles on it and its the first time i've actually drove about 15 miles in one sitting and noticed this... Is this Normal for a Z ?
Does the insulation suck on these cars

The exhaust is tight up underneath the car. When I'm driving the car without the air on I notice it but otherwise its no big deal. I have an 03.

It's common and quite normal. With the cats and transmission so close to the tunnel it gets quite warm after the car has been driven for a while.
BTW - it's really a sports car so there's not a lot of insulation and sound deadening. That stuff adds weight.

yes, I have this on my 04 as well. You can get some insulation if you don't want the heat, I really don't mind it.

I noticed after I put in my aftermarket seats, they sit about 1/2 to an 1" higher than the stock seats. That it does not get as hot.

15 miles is too short of a distance to make anything over heat in my opinion, unless the outside temperature was really hot to begin with.
Was it coming out from underneath the passenger chair, or the space underneath the glove compartment? Maybe you left the chair's heater on?
