I have had my 06 since May 11th 2006 when I bought it brand new. Since then I have really loved it and never had to much of a complaint...But about 4 months ago, I started falling out of love with it..
A big part of it is how much it has depreciated in value compared to other companies cars..somehow it has lost 9k in one year in value..That is crap..
Another thing, for some reason, I dont even drive it hard, but I only get about 20 mpg with a mix of city and highway. For as soft as I drive it, that is crap..
Being worried nonstop that people will vandalize it, mess with it, and having to park miles away from everyone else is really starting to get to me also..Its just like a constant ulcer..
Two seaters are nice and all, but going from 2 suv's to one is kinda tough for sure..The Z is kinda lacking in storage and kinda a pain to move around in while driving..
It just seems like after paying around 600 dollars a month for the car payment, 100 dollars for insurance and another 130 or so on gas, the car isnt worth 850 or so a month of money...Yes it is the most beautiful car on the road..but the value isnt there...
Is the honeymood period over???
What do you guys think I should do? I have the Honda people calling me as soon as they get an 08 Accord Coupe in that I can get a very good price on due to family working for Honda..

Yup, get a Civic.
If those are your "issues", then you'd definitely need a safe, un-assuming, run-of-the-mill car like a Honda.
I predict, in the not too distant future a thread started by nothingremains titled "Traded the Z for a ..."

I would get rid of it, with those kind of lame excuses you really don't want it and probably should not have gotten it to begin with, who the hell keeps track of vehicle value, it is not a stock it is a car.

I have never seen milage like that other than highway trips. I average 20 MPG all the time.
re: value drop -
All cars drop about 20-30% in the first year, another 5-8% the 2nd year, and then go back up 18-22& the 3rd, before leveling off until the 5th year. This is extremely normal.

well unlike some of you, money doesnt grow on trees for me..and i cant keep saving 800 bucks a month and drive it even harder..i am already making a ton of sacrifices to put 800 a month into the savings account..if i drove it hard, my pos would prolly only get like 14 mpg..
Once you look at all that negative equity you have in the Z and roll that into the new car your monthly payments will probably be higher. The mileage of the Z compared to the honda is not going to save you a ton of money.
