How bout this. Before I got my 35th anny. (about 2 and a half weeks ago) I was driving an f150 for about 6 years. But anyways, the engine seizes up on the highway during rush hour. I manage to pull the thing over to the breakdown lane, I called a friend for a ride, and when I'm on the phone getting a tow, my phone dies. I make it home, get a tow, and head back when they say they are supposed to be there. My car is gone. Not there, gone. I called the cops, asking who would tow my car. I called the place twice, and they said they do not have my car, and no one else would tow it. I finally call it in stolen, later the cop shows up, and tells me that this place does actually have my car, because someone hit my non-moving, hazard blinking truck. BTW: Truck had 22's, Black and Silver racing stripes (very visible!) along with everything from shaved door handles to fenders/bumpers/whatever else possible. And I left my wallet in the car, and to get it out of the impound I need it released through the police, license in hand, because it was involved in an accident. I had to go into South Atlanta at 1:30 in the morning (a place you don't want to be at 1:30 in the afternoon). Then this crackhead working there tells me he told me it was in their north lot. About 15 minutes from where I live, or 45 minutes from where I was. Awesome.

Car dies and someone hits it, and I spend 6 hours, between talking to cops, and going to the intersection of Stabbem & Run in the middle of the night, to find my truck.

Course now I got a Z, so there is a very happy ending.

lol....man that sucks..but both times you seem to be lucky in terms of getting your car fixed up with no issues. I feel your pain. I've had two incidents with my Z within 1.5 years of ownership.

Damn that sucks.

I remember when I got mine last year in july. After three weeks of ownership of my new car I got hit by someone merging into me causing about $1,500 in damages. I get the car back and 2mos later I get rear ended being stuck in traffic on the higway causing 4grand in damages.

Ouch. That sucks. Similar thing happened to my poor Z too. It was parked in a parking lot and somebody backed into it right on the passenger side front corner. $4K worth of damages. Never been in any accidents and then this. I feel your pain.

I hear yah man! It's often the people around us that cause us automotive headaches, not our cars themselves. Well at least things will get fixed in the end!

Well to make matters worse, the body shop that did the work on this second hit ended up giving it back to me with one of the dents still visible when looking at the bumper from certain angles! Unbelievable...

Had to take my car back down to them to have em fix it right this time. I am beginning to forget what its even like to drive my car because i only have it in 2 day increments ha ha /sigh

I guess on the bright side, at this rate i will have the lowest mileage Z ever!
