Just thought i would put in my 2 cents.

With a salvage you dont even really know if the air bag is still in there. The body can look fixed and still not handle correctly. Some say a salvaged car is never as good as the original. Most of all, huge question, is the warranty even still available on a salvaged car?

I bought my red mt 350z with 31k miles for 20k a week ago. Got the extended warranty. I wouldnt be surprised if the 300hp 07 is alil faster but in your described case, i dont think the 07 is a good buy at all.

For me, having cruise control was a big thing and my 05 has it.

I would agree with most the salvage title is a real deal breaker.

Budget smudget, you only live but once. Shell out the extra 5K for a BRAND NEW 08! mmm, new car smell...

Salvage title, scrap that 07 than

I would definitely get the 06, you get the updated wheels, bumper, and interior for only 2k over the 05 (along with a better warranty). Well worth it IMO, I love my 06 Z that I picked up used.

I agree. I've been thinking of unloading mine and getting an older one.

I agree with everyone who says DON'T buy a salvaged car.
You should just wait and find an '07 that is clean.
I've driven both and the '07 is better in basically every way.
At least that's what I'd do.
The base slides easily though so if you've never owned a RWD car
before than perhaps you should wait awhile to get one with traction control.

Make sure you go for the 07 though the HR engine is worth all the hype.

On second thought just get an '08 so you know its never been tampered with.

salvage 2007 Base, was sold like 4 days ago for 19k (22k is to much) As you can see, just minor damage (and you exactly know what was wrong with it), airbags intact, the only problem is the paint color. You would only need some nice bodykit and door shell.

I would say if you would find anything similar and you want to have a nice project car then go for it. For the price difference you could get yourself the brand new spanking Greddy TT kit and you don't have to worry about the warranty anymore

You would prefer to have the Altima's hood on yours? I hate the old ones with those ugly lines. Plus, a Z is supposed to have a power dome. The only one that didn't was the z32.

Get the 05....assuming a good mechanic you pay & trust says car is sound.
Also run a Carfax.

+100000000000000000000000000 on the salvage title part.

so If i get the base with out TCS, will it be a wild mustang or is just depending on my driving habits?
nd is TCS worth it?
I have a 2007 enthusiast for sale with 12,500 miles for 23K. NEVER BEEN IN AN ACCIDENT.
