Angry Now the Z Whistles! This is not a laughing matter

So I'll be driving and when I hit about 55-60 the my '05 starts to whistle from the drivers side. Its driving my crazy. Im thinking about taking it to the dealership but I dont know how much they really would do. But anyways I am almost for certain that it has to do with either the drivers side door panels or something in that area. I might just take it all apart and make sure everything if fitting perfectly again.??? Any ideas?

it's probably the weather striping around your window.

oh, then I have no idea. I remember people reporting this problem before and it was the weather striping, but the issue was when the window was closed.

and how can you hear whistling with your window down at that speed, lol! well, good luck.

Could it possibly be the mirror assembly? I think it would have to be something close to you if you can hear it at speed.

Do you have an aftermarket air intake on your engine?

yeah i think it is... if you fold the mirror in, im betting you wont hear it anymore... that was my case anyways... but you obviously shouldnt be driving with folded mirrors so not much you can do besides (as previously mentioned) turn the radio up...

Maybe you accidentally installed a blow-off valve...

if your mirror cover is loose off the base slightly that could give you a whistle. pop of the cover on the bottom and tighten the screws if you can and just make sure it's in the proper position, move it back then pop it back into place.

LOL..Mine does that too but at EXACTLY 80mph. Just about eye level on the glass. simply press the rubber on the inside of the glass out a bit and this usually cures it.
