Hey, the pyramid theory isn't untrue. I had a Momo Cobra Carbon shift **** in my M Roadster which got super hot during the summer in Texas, and yeah, I kept a towel in the car for that very reason. But, my point about the pyramid theory is that even when the shift **** would be cool (and I don't mean warm, but actually cool), eventually after driving a ways the **** would heat up, and I'm convinced it was due to all the friciton and heat from the tranny making its way through the shifter into the ****. Granted the **** was primarily aluminum so that didn't help either.

Welcome to my hell guys . I live in Florida and it gets very..um...warm here . You just have to learn to live w/ it and not grab the Al until it cools down.
