Default Acetone?

So a few of my chem buddies, online sources, and a few other friends told me about the power of acetone and how it can increase gas milage...

Now i dont want to get flamed or anything about being cheap bla bla bla or that I own a 350z and if i can afford to get one I can afford gas..

Is it true that by adding a little of acetone (1/4 cup per 10 gallons) will help with gas milage? My biggest fear is that im not too knowledgable with stuff like this and am not sure that this will damage any parts of my car.

So my question is, does anyone add acetone? If so how much? And is it safe?

This has been discussed many times, NO it doesn't help with the mileage.

+1 on the trial... I would like to know. I wouldn't do that to my pride and joy, but would just like to know if it works.

I wouldn't care if it tripled my MPG. You just don't feed additives to our engines.
