I've found a kind of opposite effect.... people (even 40-yo women in camry's!!) come up right behind me even if im doing the limit or a tad over

Just because I drive a sports car doesn't mean I will drive fast each time every time!

Take a trip to the dragstrip every once in a while. It's like therapy. I usually drive at 10 mph over the limit everywhere, just like most other people around here. But after a night at the strip it took all the need for speed out of me because I already knew that nothing is going to compare to what I was just doing.

Thursday when I left the strip I did right on the speed limit going home and was even passed by a Mustang who purposely hit the throttle a little as he was passing me. I don't think I need to say what I would've normally done in response to that kind gesture. But I just kept right on cruising and it didn't even phase me. It actually made me smile.

everything thinks they are a good driver...yea right..
I had a guy and his wife do 70+ in a 35 and cut across 2 lanes right infront of me so they could "beat me" and they were driving a mini van..

+1 - I mean if the other cars are going the speed limit you have nothing to get mad about. Even if they are going slower. Give them a break. They could have kids, be old, or like me transport their birds which doesn't allow me to bimp around while they are in the car or I'll have dead birds.

Birds have to have their wings clipped, beaks filed, and nails clipped from time to time. Plus, I like to take them with me when I go camping.

We can't all race around all the time. Be patient please.

What upsets me is when someone fly up on my rear and tailgates me when the birds are in the car. If they hit me the birds will die. It will snap their fragile necks. These birds aren't cheap either. They are my kids since I do not have any. Never had the money. I'm usaually going 5 over (lately just a couple over cause their giving ticket out like crazy on the video cams in my area) so I'm not slowing down traffic. Plus, if I can get over I do use the right lane so you can blast by me if you like. ;-)

Here, here ... That's my thoughts as well. I don't always want to go fast, get a ticket, or put my life in danger. Especially at rush hour, I drive slower and more defensively because I want the extra time to react if I need it.

I don't want to jinks my record so I won't tell you how long it's been since I've had an accident that's been my fault. It can happen to anyone at anytime, just be looking the wrong way. Rearended by speeders that can't stop in time = 3 over 35 years. All while at a stop sign or stop light.

Hmm, so YOU'RE one of those guys I always roll my eyes at as I see weaving in and out of traffic just to get stuck at the same stoplight as me. Oh, and I'm not some old crank either (20), I just dislike the sort of drivers who are ensuring that the insurance costs for the Z remain high.

i have way less rage when im driving my z, i guess its just my constant reminder of hard work and my love of sweet rides combined.

but i will say even when i had a fc3s rx-7 i was very happy driving that one too!!

sports cars take my rage away!!! and since they have superior brakes and acceleration doesnt mean you have to be on it 100% all the time- keep it classy i say. we have too many ricers ripping around in puddle jumpers- i like to keep the image of the z as a "mature tuner" not these stickered up- fart can mobiles

To my surprise (and granted, I've only had the car for a week and still breaking it in) i don't have the urge to drive fast. I use to have a mazda 6 and I would stay on top in that car. This one, even though there is waaaaay more potential, i don't feel the need to speed and burst off the line at the first sign of a green light. I guess I feel happy that if I ever needed to or wanted to, i could. and the knowlede of that puts a smile on my face. Or it might be that I grew up a bit and no longer feel the need to prove that i can drive fast. any jerk**f can do that. Can't we all just cruise along?!

The only rage i get is when im cruising and some morons last second decides to cut me off and go slow. .sometimes i think people do it on spite. .other then that the Z drives so well that i can out maneuver any other cars on the road in order to bypass all the morons. .Only wish the USA didn't have so many rules and regulations. .then it would be a better time to drive. . .

I drive now with respect for others, even when the other asshats who speed and cut me off. I just point and laugh at them when I catch up to them at the next light. Funny stuff right there.

Not to single anyone out, but it seems - at least in my town - that people who drive GM vehicles drive too fast and like asshats.

I see asshats in all makes/models. It doesn't matter what they are driving.
