pulled over for tint??
i was driving doing the speed limit minding my own business last week ...i see a cop up ahead going the opposite way on rt.40 (2 lane hwy with median in the middle) so after he passes me i see him breakiung hard...he cuts thru the median smokes his tires and comes up fullspeed on me... gets along side me and just stares for about half a mile...than slams his breaks again gets right behingd me on my *** and hits the lights..... so he comes up to the car and is a complete d%&k finaly after harrasing me for 20 min. he tells me he pulled me over for my tint.... now i have to get my $300 tint job removed..all because some a$$whole had nothing better to do than harass me....just because im young and have a nice car....anyways i was wondering if anybody knows any way of avoiding taking my tint off....iv heard of the eye doctor note...but does anyone no if this actualy works??.....my other idea was maybe taking my buddys z to the inspection ...its the same color ...but i dont no i they check the vin or just check the tint...so if u guys got any bright ideas please let me know

just pay the ticket, bringing another car will just get you in more **** if they catch it...also chances are it was a fluke like you said with some pos cop thats pissed hes a traffic *****. Avoid the road in the future, when you see a cop roll down the windows.
In my acura I had a tab attached to the window fuse, Id put down the windows and then pull the fuse if I got pulled over...when they tell me to put it up I just said "it doesn't work" and let them try. Worked 3x

1)know your tint laws for your state, some states allow a certain percentage of tint in the front some do not allow it at all.
2) a doctors not does work, but you are not going to get one unless you are legitimate or know a doc
3)if you want to swap Zs check what is on your ticket, if there is a vin # listed then you have no chance, if they have only plates listed you might have a chance if you swap plates, but then again they will probably ask for the registration so make sure to bring that, if you get caught doing this you will get charged with fictitious plates

Cop was pissed he didn't find anything better to arrest you for, was having bad day, or you weren't a model citizen with him. That's how cops get so many arrests on outstanding warrants, open container/personal use violations, suspended license, no insurance, etc. All you need is to be a young male or [insert other descriptor/s] and in violation of some minor regulation. Boom, they have probable cause to pull you over, then go on a hunt for whatever they can turn up through interview, and it's perfectly legal. If you were nervous from concealing a firearm, drug, or whatever, your body language would have given you away and the cop would have a great bust. Statistically, it works for the cops to catch criminals this way. They do have the discresion not to cite you if they don't want to, so you may have hurt his ego by merely being well off or less than courteous.

I have had 5% on all the cars I have ever owned and never been pulled over in my life for tints. The cop has to be a complete dick to do that. I would just pay the fine and move on.It's not like your going to get point on you DL for that anyways. oh p.s. you paid $300.00 for tints you got ripped off.

$300.00 bucks for tint is a rip off.
just take the tint off your front windows. not hard at all. (except for getting all the adhesive off, now thats kind of a pain)
pay the $10.00 fix it ticket and get new tint put back on. ( shouldnt be more than $75.00 MAX)
good to go

If you didn't care to check legal tint limit before getting the job done, then you're a fool. If you did and decided it was worth the risk, then that risk has caught up with you; shouldn't be a surprise.
Either way, no need to come to us crying. Deal with it.

tint's the one thing i agree with cops about...ONLY if the car has it's front windows tinted...
Imagine if you're a cop and you're walking up to a car....but you can't see anything in it...it's a safety issue for them...
In the Z's case, it only has front windows....
