Default what am I losing going to enthus. from touring model?

hey guys,

I was about to buy touring solely for the burnt orange leather seats but found out I can just retrofit it or go aftermarket. Since I will be putting on 19s and aftermarket system, I feel that touring package is just a waste of money for me. That's a good 5k I can save.

Besides the 18s and Bose and leather, what else am I losing going to enthusiast model, it terms of looks and performance?

Thanks!

They *do* offer 6MT Tourings... but you end up paying a little more for the manual rather than less. <shrug>... explain *that* one!

That's cuz the 6MT tourings come with VDC and the 18" wheels. So, you pay a little more.

You're also losing power seats.

The Touring also has the Homelink setup and I wasn't sure if the Enthus. had that as well.

6mt touring has 18" wheels, heated power leather seats, heated mirrors, VDC, tire pressure, and can have nav.

5at touring has only heated power leather seats, heated mirrors, and can have nav.

enthusiast can not add nav as an option(atleast I dont think it can...) but is very very close to the 5at touring, the reason the manual is more is because manual vs auto in the touring may as well be different models, the automatic is just enthusiast with the seats and an auto tranny. manual is performance with the seats, same tranny.

no performance difference all around. all look the same, all can have the optional aero package, ect.

the main thing you lose by going to an enthusiast!

weight!

What do you gain? CASH!

the weight is in the stuff you get. seats, rims, and stereo. not like there just porkin in weight for nothing, you have something to show for every pound thats added to it.

so i think being that I don't want heated seats or mirrors as i live in the south, don't care for NAV or Bose (going with Alpine stuff) and don't like the 18s and want a 6mt, there's really no reason for me to get the touring unless I get a real good deal on it huh?

I think I'll just have them add orange leather for $800

if thats all your looking for, then yeah, only think touring offers is VDC, which is hardly worth the extra cash.

enthusiast is a better deal, touring just offers some things that you can get aftermarket, but if you dont want them, whats it matter.
