For those of us who have received a VIN Does it mean that the Z's have arrived or their arrival from a ship are immenint. In other words does the VIN translate into a pseudo-guarantee that the car will arive at dealerships within the next 2-6 weeks?

The only real guarantee is that the car has a VIN issued to it. Someone at NNA may be able to enlighten you further.
My bet is that it has left the factory for destination or is in the US at a port with the VIN verified there.
You know who has the answers, but you can't call them any more.

 

RxO you are the true answer man .. while ZISME is more direct in his responses -- he appear to be very busy lately and has been more reluctant to give out the juicy info (like the location of the Z's!!)

When the GM of my dealer called me on Friday morning to inform me of my Sept 4th delivery date and my VIN, he told me my car was on a ship somewhere in the middle of the Pacific. Now I just wait for the ship to arrive and for them to get my Z on a truck or some other ground transport and deliver my car to my dealership.

 

It is easy to answer your questions since I do not work for Nissan.
But all of my information may not be current.
I recently posted that Nissan is offering a dealer installed leather seat upgrade, in tan, black and two tones with full warranty through Nissan and was told that this was old news.
Oh well, Panama is so far away.
The week of the 12th is the key.
The system has faults.
But it is the first attempt.
I hope the idea survives.
