Losing traction!
ok so this threads not too exciting but here it goes... I took out my spare tire and jack on my z today and took it out for a spin. I definetly notice less traction when revving high in 1st gear. The big change however is when i rev it to 7500 and drop it into second, instead of my tires "chirping" and continuing to launch me forward they just start spinning like crazy! absolutely no traction, i have to let off the gas a ton and then my tires catch again and it jerks me forward. Definetly not good for say a 1/4 mile run.

And removing weight from the rear of a RWD car is worse for RWD as stated above me. In a while, you'll learn to drive a rwd car without losing much traction. It's not all about WOT.

for a 1/4 mile drag race on a track, yeah maybe. but day to day driving no
Hey!! I live in Boise Idaho too! What color Z do you have?
Regarding the OP, others already said it, less weight on the back wheels, it only makes sense. Your tires worn?

my 1st rwd drive car so take it easy on me. when i have to brake quickly at higher speeds, the back end wants to slide out.
any suggestions on what you should do to try and prevent this? besides the obvious of slowing down. haha
any suggestions appreciated.
thanks
